Benedict dropped the newspaper he was reading when he noticed the woman walking downstairs. His eyes widened as if he had seen an angel.
‘Damn, who is this beautiful woman?’ he wondered.
Hadley was dressed perfectly in the black tube dress Benedict had bought for her. The dress flaunted her lovely shoulders, slim but firm arms, and slender legs. She’d never worn a dress that showed her legs before, and Benedict couldn’t believe how attractive she was.
Hadley’s make-up was lighter than usual. She was missing her glasses. Instead, she wore a pair of hazelbrown contact lenses.
“I apologize for keeping you waiting,” Hadley said as she approached Benedict in the living room.
Benedict sat up straight and blinked a few times.
‘Get a hold of yourself, Benedict! Please don’t fall for her beauty. She may look like a goddess, but at the end of the day, she’s the same old witch Hadley!’
