Chapter 23. The Lycan Blood
Elara POV
I strode down the corridor, my heels clicking majestically on the stone floor. I walked with confidence, my chin lifted proudly with each step. The guards standing in the hallway and the few servants wandering around bowed their heads immediately upon sighting me. But I ignored their greeting; they were insignificant for me to notice or even acknowledge their low lives.
I continued on my way, and as I walked out of the building where my chambers were located, the night breeze slapped me in the face, whipping my hair sideways.
I let out a frustrated sigh and smoothed my hair back with my hand, arranging the strands to perfection before proceeding to the castle.
After a few more steps, I reached the castle entrance door. The guards bowed their heads and pushed the door open, giving me the respect I deserved as their future queen.
In just a few weeks, I would be crowned princess.
What a perfect honor.
