Chapter 26. Black Out

Nina POV

Two days have passed, and I am still here, trapped in this room like a prisoner. I don’t get why my life is so complicated.

He meant every word. He had sent Samuel back, still standing by his words.

Don’t judge me; I have tried to escape, sneak out numerous times, but it was impossible. He has guards stationed in every damn nook and cranny of this mansion.

The several times I had tried, I was caught. And now, I am locked up here.

I have vented out my frustration, argued with him, and even fought, but he is still not ready to go against his words. I can’t fucking continue staying here. Only the goddess knows how Jasper is treating my people.

They might think I have forsaken them.

I buried my head in the pillow and screamed, my voice rolling off in a muffled sound.

Why is everything about me so complicated?!

The door opened, and I sighed, looking away. One serv
