Chapter 28. You Will Meet Them

Nina POV

I sat on the bed, the duvet towering over me. My lips were pressed tightly together, and my dull eyes fixed directly on the empty space.

Suddenly, the door creaked open, and Ryder walked in with a tray of food. He softly locked the door and strode further into the room.

Ryder looked at me and exhaled, saying nothing. He stopped beside me and dropped the tray onto the mini table before sitting down.
