Chapter 32. She Doesn’t Belong Here
Nina POV
I swallowed the question, keeping my mouth shut as I allowed him to take me to wherever he was going. I also needed a moment to myself, away from all these wild snarls, heated glares, and hateful glances.
Ryder hadn’t even said anything to me. The atmosphere seemed intense.
Though I still couldn’t shake off the feeling of restlessness that had settled in my stomach after my encounter with his parents. Their disapproving gazes and cold demeanor left me wondering if they’d ever agree to sign over the ownership to me.
I still don’t know the reason they don’t want me here. I don’t think it’s because I am a werewolf; I think there is more to it.
I dragged in a sharp breath as we continued to walk. Ryder’s silence was also adding to my growing anxiety. His face was hard and blank, his eyes fixed on some point ahead. He hadn’t uttered a word since we walked out from that entrance.
I felt a shiver run down my spine as I glanced up at him.
