Chapter 57. How Come Her Scent Faded Away?

As soon as I walked into my room, I tiredly switched on the light and unbuttoned my shirt, tossing it to the ground without bothering to pick it up. I then made my way to the small bar in my room and poured myself a glass of whiskey.

The amber liquid burned down my throat as I took a sip. My mind was a mess right now. Arkon was not helping the matter, his constant muzzling and pacing gives me a bad headache.

I let out a deep breath and curled my fists around the glass tumbler before standing up and making my way out of my room toward what used to be Nina’s room before she left... No, before that asshole took her from me.

I ground my upper teeth angrily along the tip of my tongue. I stopped right in front of her door, a habit I’d developed since she left. I would come in here to inhale her scent, calming myself whenever I had a lot on my mind. It was also a way to tame Arkon and keep him in control.
