I sat on the bed with my legs crossed when suddenly the door opened, and Ryder walked in. The moment my gaze fell on him, I stood up.

He smiled, but I met him with a hard look, wiping the smile off his face.

“Are you okay?” His deep baritone voice echoed in my ears, almost making my body tremble in desire, but I was quick to compose myself.

“What are you hiding from me, Ryder?” I asked, my voice laced with anger.

He looked taken aback by my question, but that was for a moment. A deep frown settled back on his forehead.

“I am not hiding anything from you, Nina,” he started, but I shut him up with a snap.

“Really?” I gave him a frosty look. “Then explain about the coronation that you will be having in a few days from now!” I barked out, and Ryder let out a sigh of relief.
