Chapter 2
“Alano, I have to leave tonight because there are some matters that I need to take care of. I will give you a spare key,” said Cassa, reaching into her pocket and taking out the duplicate key. Cassa handed the key to Alano with a forced smile.
Alano looked at the key in his wife’s hand and was confused because it was unusual for Cassa to go out at night, especially since they had just been married for a week and Cassa usually waited calmly for him to come home.
“What matters? Why suddenly?” Alano asked with a puzzled expression. Alano was a bit confused because Cassa promised to be fully at home this month to enjoy their marriage.
However, seeing Cassa acting differently and breaking her promise obviously raised questions and made Alano confused.
Cassa looked at her bewildered husband, she could only smile weakly as she remembered the fetus in her womb.
“I want to go out with some of my female friends. It feels strange to be at home every day, it’s been 7 days that I’ve been at home all day, can I go out and breathe some fresh air? It won’t take long,” Cassa said gently.
“Okay, but don’t forget to let me know if you need to be picked up. Don’t stay out too late with your friends during our honeymoon, I miss you,” Alano said, then hugged Cassa.
Cassa just smiled, reality had become so bitter and unpleasant. Cassa didn’t know that the fetus was growing, she thought that such inappropriate actions would not result in anything. Cassa clearly remembered that she had taken the birth control pill afterwards.
However, fate had different plans as Cassa was now pregnant with Delbert’s child.
“You have to go to work, Alano. I’ll grab your bag,” Cassa said, letting go of Alano’s embrace.
Alano looked at his beloved wife with a puzzled expression. Never in his life had he heard Cassa say that she missed him.
Cassa returned with Alano’s work bag in her hand and handed it to him. She smiled at her husband, her guilt increasing due to her current pregnancy.
“This is your bag, work hard so our child can eat well,” Cassa said, with her beautiful face shining in Alano’s eyes.
“Alright, I’ll leave now. Take care at home, we’ll enjoy our delayed honeymoon tomorrow. I’m sorry for being too busy,” Alano said with regret, having to work during their honeymoon.
Cassa just nodded, she understood that Alano had to take care of his company, even during their honeymoon. Cassa also knew that Alano was the only child who was expected to oversee their family business.
The woman with long hair now watched Alano’s departure, which grew farther and farther away.
“This is the time. I have to go to Delbert’s house and tell him that I’m pregnant with his child, I’m sure he’ll be happy to hear this news,” Cassa said joyfully yet also sadly.
Bringing the news of her pregnancy, but not being able to be together, made Cassa sad as well. However, this was her destiny and she could only obey her parents’ words.
Cassa quickly dressed up, she would make Delbert fall in love with her again and be happy to hear the news.
After spending quite some time getting ready, Cassa got into her car and immediately left Alano’s house.
“I can’t wait to see Delbert’s reaction. Will he be happy or what?” Cassa asked, her face turning as red as a tomato.
In the car, Cassa talked to her fetus about Delbert. Cassa knew that she had to interact more with her unborn child, even though she knew that the fetus was born out of wedlock. However, she never considered getting rid of the fetus.
“Darling, I’m so curious to see what you’ll look like when you’re born. Will you resemble your father or your mother? Be born safely and I will introduce you to your father,” Cassa said, while gently stroking her flat stomach.
It didn’t take long for Cassa to arrive at Delbert’s house. However, because the location was too narrow, Cassa decided to park her car some distance away from Delbert’s house.
“Alright, we have to get off here, my dear. Hopefully, your father is home because I didn’t tell him that we’re coming here,” Cassa said before walking towards Delbert’s house.
The surroundings of Delbert’s house were so quiet and lifeless, Cassa looked around and saw that it was surrounded by many trees.
“Why did he choose a house in such an area? It will surely be very eerie when night falls.” Cassa shivered as she looked around.
Upon reaching Delbert’s house, Cassa didn’t see anyone inside. Cassa hesitated to knock on the door, hoping that Delbert would come out and let her in.
However, after knocking on Delbert’s door more than five times, Cassa didn’t see the man opening the door. Unexpectedly, Delbert’s house door wasn’t locked, so Cassa decided to wait inside.
“Alright, your father seems to be out. We will wait here until he comes home, understand?” Cassa asked, once again looking happy because the child of the person she loved was growing in her womb.
Cassa waited for quite a while and started to get anxious. The day grew late and Delbert still hadn’t returned. Then, at nine o’clock in the evening, Cassa heard someone in the house.
Cassa hid, planning to surprise Delbert. However, something happened that made Cassa tremble.
“Why is Delbert’s face and body covered in fur and his face looks like a wolf? What—what is actually happening?” Cassa asked with a frightened expression.
Under Delbert’s desk, Cassa hid in great fear.
“Luckily, no one saw me. Until when do I have to be a werewolf? I can’t even live peacefully with my own emotions,” Delbert said in frustration, looking at his hands covered in thick fur.
Delbert also looked at his face slowly transforming back into a human.
“What is really happening, Delbert? Why are you different? You must be joking about being a werewolf!” Cassa shouted, becoming more and more hysterical as she saw the handsome face she once loved transform into a werewolf, becoming so horrifying.
“Cassa, I will explain it to you. I will explain why I chose to leave you. Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.”
Delbert approached Cassa slowly.
