Chapter 9
Several minutes passed before I recovered from that dream and returned to reality. I checked the time on my phone, and it was only six in the morning. I glanced at what Raven was watching on TV out of curiosity, and it turned out he was engrossed in a Tagalized version of SpongeBob SquarePants.
When I felt like talking to Raven, I asked him, “Why… why are you here?”
“Your brother and I just talked… I already convinced him about the summer internship that I’m telling you about.” He smiled at me widely, looking like a child who just got a new toy from his parents.
“Where is he?” I asked again.
“He just went outside to buy his breakfast.” He gave me a straightforward answer without looking at me, his gaze fixed on the TV.
“H- how did you convince him?” I furrowed my brow. It was quite curious because it’s really difficult to convince my brother. Sometimes, it takes me up to five days of persuasion, and I even have to bribe him with food!
