Chapter 11

I lost my composure after seeing Lianna’s picture. I couldn’t hold a proper conversation for the rest of the afternoon. Jessie even noticed and called me ‘scatterbrained.’ Everyone, including Raven, asked me what was wrong, but I couldn’t give any other excuse than feeling tired and a bit dizzy.

I couldn’t sleep that night because of fear and all sorts of thoughts running through my mind. What was the reason? Why did Lianna visit me in my dreams all the time? Was she angry at me because I had her heart? What kind of help did she need, and why was she asking for it? What did she want to happen?

Even though I knew that Lianna was the one appearing in my dreams, I still held on to the belief that it was because I was still in the hospital. Lianna died here in the hospital, and her spirit was here. Maybe when I leave, everything will stop… she won’t bother me anymore. I hoped… I really hoped that was what would happen.
