Chapter 8

When it was already seven o’clock, my dinner arrived, and Lance and Jessie joined me to eat. After finishing his meal, Lance asked me, “Mama told me something. Someone invited you to accompany them for their internship here… who is that person?” He raised an eyebrow, his face serious.

“Didn’t Mama tell you who he is?”

“I want you to tell me… who is he? Is he courting you? He’s such a weirdo,” based on his comment, I think Mama already mentioned who he is. Lance could be a bit overreacting sometimes, but I could not blame him because he saw how I was deceived by a guy and how much it hurt me back then.

“It’s Raven, Lance. I just found out his name earlier because we’re not really close. He’s Lianna’s boyfriend, my heart donor, and he’s the son of the hospital owner. He said he doesn’t have any friends here, so he wants me to accompany him. Plus, we’re the same age, and he’s also a pharmacy student.” I explained.

“But he’s such a weirdo… he acts too familiar. M
