Chapter 42
Tommy’s POV
I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. Groaning, I picked it up, rubbing my eyes to see the caller ID. It was a number I didn’t recognize, but I answered it anyway.
“Hello?” I said, still groggy.
“Tommy,” a low, gruff voice replied. “It’s time for you to come to our meeting.”
I sat up straight, suddenly alert. I knew exactly who this was — the Dark Pack, the ones I had made a deal with to get rid of my father. They had been hounding me for weeks, reminding me of my part of the bargain.
“I know, I know,” I said, trying to sound confident. “I’m on my way.”
“Good,” the voice said. “Don’t forget what we’ve asked of you.”
I hung up the phone and sighed. I knew what they wanted — they wanted me to join them in an upcoming fight which I do not know about. I had made the deal in desperation, hoping to rid ourselves of my father and his council once and for all. But now, I was regretting it.
