Elizabeth’s POV
“That would be five thousand dollars a night, ma’am,” the receptionist said politely, her voice calm and professional.
My brows immediately furrowed at the price she just mentioned. “Five thousand?” I repeated, my tone edged with disbelief. “Are you sure this place is actually a seven-star hotel? Because the price you’re calling seems a little too cheap for that kind of standard.”
The young woman behind the counter looked startled for a second, probably unsure whether to laugh or apologize. “Cheap? Ma’am, this is our most expensive room you just booked,” she said, straightening her uniform as if to reassure me that I had indeed chosen luxury.
I sighed and waved a dismissive hand. “Whatever. I just hope I don’t get low service because of these low prices,” I said, my tone clipped. “I want the best service. Breakfast by eight a.m. on the dot, no need for lunch, I always eat out. And dinner by nine p.m. sharp. Not a minute later
