All my life, I’ve always gotten what I wanted. It wasn’t something I hid, and it wasn’t something I was ashamed of. Even though I’m currently annoyed with my parents and still not fully over the fact that they kept the truth about my adoption hidden from me, they have still been the best parents I could have ever asked for.

They raised me like a princess — no, scratch that, they raised me like a queen. They gave me anything and everything I ever wanted, from the smallest little trinket I pointed at as a child to the most outrageous demands I made as a teenager.
