Chapter 69. Dungeon

Emma’s POV

Our hearts sink as we hear the footsteps closing in. We tried to run, but it was too late. A group of shadowy figures emerged from the darkness, surrounding us with snarls and growls.

Bennett, Hunter, and Parker stood their ground, ready to defend I, but we were vastly outnumbered. The attackers move in, their movements swift and calculated.

I tried to summon Hailey’s energy, but it was too late. I was grabbed from behind, a hand clamped over my mouth to silence me. I struggled and kicked, but my guards were too strong.
