Chapter 77. Exactly Where I Need to Be

Bennett’s POV

Hunter’s words hang in the air, a chilling possibility taking shape. “Guys, what if Emma’s parents handed her over to this pack specifically for them to raise her? Maybe she was never meant to be one of them, and that’s why she’s been treated so poorly.”

My eyes widened in understanding. “That would explain a lot. If Emma’s not a true member of the pack, it would justify the Alpha’s behavior towards her.”

Parker’s face was etched with a frown. “We need to find out if that’s true. If Emma’s parents gave her to the pack, we need to know why.”

Hunter nodded, his mind racing with the implications. “And if that’s the case, we have to consider the possibility that Emma’s in grave danger. If the Alpha has been using her for some purpose, we have to get her out of here before it’s too late.”

We have to make sure that nothing bad happens to her. She has already suffered a lot and I wanted to protect her with everything that I had.<
