Emma’s POV

At this point, my mind was slowly losing its wits as I tried to process everything. I was scared, shocked, and unsure of what to believe. The witch’s words echoed in my mind, but I couldn’t shake off the feeling of unease.

Backing away slowly, my eyes darted towards the door, my heart racing with the urge to flee. “I… I need time to think,” I stammered, my voice barely above a whisper.

The witch’s expression turned to understanding, but her eyes gleamed with a knowing light. “Take all the time you require, child,” she said, her voice soft. “But know this, the Spark of Life within you has protected you. If you want, then I can renew the power for you.”

My feet seemed to move of their own accord as I stepped away from her. I felt like I was escaping, fleeing from the truth and the secrets that the witch revealed.

“What do you want?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
