Emma’s POV
The witch’s smile was nostalgic. “You were just a child, but I saw something in you, something special. I gave you a gift, a power to heal wounds, to mend broken bodies. But it appears that power has faded, like a flower that has lost its bloom.” She added, and I watched her with a frown.
How come she knew me before? She wasn’t going into details, and I wondered what she was still hiding.
My mind reeled as I tried to process the witch’s words. A power to heal? I had no memory of that, no knowledge of ever possessing such a gift.
The witch’s eyes seemed to cloud over, her gaze turning inward. “I fear I may have made a mistake, child. I fear that power was meant for something more, something greater. And now, it is gone, lost to the ages.”
