Chapter 17
Celine’s POV
“Sean, hurry up! We were going to be late for mass,” I yelled at Sean while searching for my car keys in my bag.
“Coming!” I heard him scream. His footsteps echoed on the stairs as he descended. “Let’s go, Mommy.”
He smiled at me, and I opened the car door next to the driver’s seat. He got in, and then I turned around to get in as well.
“Fasten your seatbelt, baby,” I said. He tried to reach for the seatbelt on the left side of his car seat. I chuckled at how hard it was for him to connect it.
“Mommy will do it for you.” I fastened him in his seat and smiled at him before starting the car.
After we arrived at the church, Sean immediately ran ahead. I let him go, knowing he could handle himself. I found an empty seat at the back of the church, away from the crowd, in case we needed to leave early.
