Faith’s POV

I blushed. I could feel my cheeks getting hot. I knew what he was implying.

“After all, you’re used to that, aren’t you?”

The smile I had been suppressing completely vanished. I felt a tightness in my chest. Here we go again. He was going to trample on my self-esteem again. I didn’t move. I didn’t want to say anything bad. I turned to look out the window. My hair slightly covered my face. My eyes were getting blurry. Tears were about to fall, as they always did.

We reached The Alchemist Hub without any trouble. 

He was so careless. He was handsome, but his attitude was bad. He didn’t even think about how I would feel when he spoke like that. It hurt my heart.

“He has nothing to do with you. You’re just his partner in bed. That’s it… that’s it!” I reminded myself.

“Faith!” I turned around when I heard someone calling me.

“Janice!” I approached her. I didn’t pay any more attention to Martin. It was up to
