Chapter 25
Carnation’s POV
I looked sadly at the old and only photo of Faith in my hand. She was just a baby in that shot.
It was taken years ago. I miss my daughter so much.
I wasted so much time and so many years because I wasn’t able to spend them with my eldest, Faith. Fate is cruel. If only I could be given a chance to make it up to her, I would. I would make her feel how much I love her and how sorry I am for leaving her.
“Mom?”
I immediately wiped the tears from my cheeks. I almost didn’t get the photo back inside the wooden box in time. I quickly put it inside the mahogany drawer.
“Y-Yes?”
“Come on, let’s eat,” my daughter, Cyrene, called me. She is my child from my second marriage. Faith is only two years older than her, but she and her sister look alike.
