Faith’s POV

“Why don’t you eat your food? Take a bite, then chew… and swallow.”

I turned to Fiona, who was literally demonstrating how to eat. I just smiled at her and took a bite of my food. I had only taken three bites when Martin crossed my mind again.

Did he eat yet?

I just shook my head. He was angry. He even kicked me out of his office earlier just because I didn’t agree with him. I rolled my eyes. I was really annoyed with him.

But I couldn’t sit still. After a while, I stood up and went to the food stalls. I ordered food for Martin. I got two—one for him and one for me. I thought we could just eat together inside his office.

“Guys, I’ll go ahead,” I said goodbye to my friends. Yes, Fiona was my friend too, along with some of our officemates. They just nodded, and I turned away. I excitedly made my way to Martin’s office.

I was sure he wouldn’t be mad when he saw I brought food.
