Chapter 43
Third-Person POV
Faith forced a smile at her daughter. “How’s your day?” she asked tenderly.
Instead of answering, her daughter avoided her gaze. “I’m sure my brother already told you what happened, Mom.”
“He said something, but not everything.” Faith slowly walked closer to her daughter, who was now sitting on the edge of the bed. She sat beside her. “Sienna, whatever happened at school earlier, you can tell me.”
The youngest looked at her with tears in her eyes. “Why else, Mommy? I know my brother told you I cheated on the exam. That’s okay.”
“Sienna, what you did will never be okay, but I know you have a reason. That’s why I’m here—to listen to your side. I know that’s what your brother wants, too. Whatever your reason, it doesn’t mean you should be angry with him. You know how much your brother loves you.”
“I don’t know. I want to apologize to you and Daddy for cheating on the exam earlier. I reviewed, but I reviewed the wrong lessons.
