Chapter 5

Faith’s POV

“S-sir,” I stammered. I didn’t know what to say. I didn’t know where to start with what needed to be explained or if I still had the right to say anything to Martin. I felt him stand up and walk around the table until he was standing across from me.

“You’re not going to say anything? You’re already stuttering? Why don’t you explain now?” This was a serious question.

I just bowed my head since I didn’t have the courage to meet his eyes.

“I-I’m sorry… Martin,” I only said. I didn’t know anything else to answer. I wanted to explain, but how would I begin? Shall I tell him the reason why I left him?

“Sorry? Do you always say sorry? No explanation? Is that all you know?”
