Chapter 24. Papa

Cristine’s POV

My phone suddenly rang. Aron averted his face, and I quickly answered the call.

It’s Mom.

“Hello?”

I heard that she was crying. I stood up and became worried.

“What happened? Why are you crying?

“Your father, we’re here at the hospital.”

I was running to the hallway of the hospital while Aron was behind me. I go to the information deck while panting.

“Where is the room of Donasio Javier?” I asked the nurse.

She checked something on her computer.

“He’s currently in the OR, Ma’am."

After she said that, Aron came.

“You’re so fast,” he said while catching his breath.

I didn’t give him a glance and ran to the OR. There I saw Mom; she was crying while sitting on the hospital chair.

“Mom!” 

She looked at me and stood up. I immediately ran to her and hugged her.

“What happened to Papa?” I asked. I could feel the shaking of my hands and the tear that was about to fall
