Chapter 27. Run
Cristine’s POV
I stepped outside the car and embraced myself because of the cold breeze of the ocean. In front of the ship, I saw a familiar figure wearing a light brown trench coat.
I run as fast as I can to reach his position. After a minute, I’m here, standing behind him, and I know that he already feels my presence.
“Aron.”
He turned around to face me. He gave me a half-smile and took one step forward.
“You came,” he said as he cupped my face.
I saw a different shade of gray inside his eyes. I don’t understand why he was looking at me like this, like he was going to leave me. Why are we here?
“Tell me what’s happening.” I hold his hands and put it down.
“I love you.”
My lips parted when he said those three words. This is the first time that he has told me that, and I can sense from his voice that he means it.
“Answer me first, Aron. Wha—“
“Do you love me too?” he asked.
