Chapter 25. Truth
Cristine’s POV
“I didn’t know that you’re a nurse,” I said while playing with the fork that I was using for the pancake.
We’re here at the café nearby. I found out that Yuri was working at the hospital as a nurse. I didn’t expect him to be there, but I’m so happy that we met again.
“Why? Don’t I look like a nurse?” he said as a joke. He became more handsome when he laughed and smiled.
“Yeah, you’re more like a supermodel.”
We both laughed.
“So, why are you at the hospital? You don’t look fine.”
“My father was confined there. He was in a coma,” I said and smiled bitterly before I took a sip of my coffee.
Yuri’s face changed.
“I’m sorry for that. Don’t worry, the doctors there are great. Your father will be fine.”
“Yeah. I hope so.”
As I looked at him, I felt a sudden relief. I don’t know, but I feel comfortable with him. His vibes were literally cheering me up. His presence works like magic.
