Carter's POV 

I opened it to find Prince Eugene, my best friend since childhood, standing there with a mischievous grin on his face. Relief flooded over me as I welcomed him inside.

"Hey, Carter! Heard things got pretty intense today. Are you alright?" Prince Eugene asked, concern etched on his face.

"It's been a rollercoaster, Eugene. But I'm trying my best to handle it. Carla's shaken up, and I just hope we can put an end to all of this soon." 

"You did the right thing by involving the police and seeking help from the SSS. Carla's safety is paramount, and you're doing everything you can to protect her. I admire your strength, Carter." Prince Eugene nodded, his expression serious. 

His words warmed my heart, reminding me of the bond we shared. We had faced numerous challenges together over the years, and Eugene had always been there for me. I felt fortunate to have him by my side during this turbulent time.
