Carter's POV

A little bit of anger was mixed as I tried explaining myself, I was already fatigued mentally and confused but still she kept being curious. 

"I hope I'm not interfering with your administerial job. You have done a lot for me here, even by setting up the lawyer to take care of my case, I mean what more could I want?" She stretched forth her hands to express herself. 

"My presence is needed, at least to encourage you!" I declared sort of absentmindedly, I didn't need any response from her, with the way I replied she wasn't prone to replying and even if she did, her response wasn't valid. 

Serena tried to persuade me into flying back to Venice but I persisted and stayed towards the end of the court session. Today was the intake of the documents and its assessment.
