Chapter 7. Lose Control

Staring out of my window, focusing my gaze on how the rain water splashed and travelled down the glass as I reflected on everything I had going on. Five more days until I return to London. It’s been over a week since I last saw Jack and Eliana. The weight of what I had done still weighed on me. I decided to work from home today. I did not feel like associating with people. I’ll need all the energy—mentally, to deal with tomorrow’s event.

Tomorrow, Jack will be celebrating his company’s first decade. A decade of success. I am super proud and happy for him but then, I’ll have to see Eliana and act like a good uncle when I’ve been between her legs.

It was already evening, almost done with what I had to do. I had already ordered dinner. Once I’m done, I’ll eat, take a cold shower and have a good rest. I returned back to what I was working on. The more focused I am, the more work I’ll get done.
