Chapter 20
It was a beautiful afternoon, and Layla had just finished work. A few minutes later, she drove home in her car.
“I have really had this Volvo for a long time,” she chuckled as she enjoyed the breeze blowing her natural brown hair.
Layla got rid of the red hair for her natural brown hair, and she loved the change of look.
She got home and ate noodles when she heard a knock on the door.
“Hey, Daddy,” she said with a wide grin.
“You are not okay,” he chuckled.
“I lost the key I had to your house,” he said shyly. He was a tough guy, but he just had a soft spot for Layla, and he didn’t know how or why.
“I was wondering why you texted me that you were coming and still knocked on the door instead of just barging in,” she said slyly.
“Can I get the key already?” he said sternly.
“Calm tiger, you’re so feisty,” she said playfully.
