Chapter 19

“Layla!” Jack screamed. “Where is she now?” he sneered.

Jack left his room and barged into Layla’s room. “How dare you not answer me when I am calling you?” he said angrily as he walked into the room.

Jack looked around and was confused at the sight of Layla’s room. Her bed was neatly arranged, and it was quite evident that she wasn’t around.

“Where could she have gone?” he thought to himself.

As he paced around the room, he brought out his phone to call her but she didn’t respond.

“What is going on?” he said angrily.

He sat on the bed and noticed a file on the bed. He grabbed it and read the file.

“Divorce papers?!” he exclaimed. “Wow,” he said as he looked through the files. “Layla signed this. She really did this, but why?” he said with a wide smile on his face.

Jack was about to drop the file when he noticed a paper attached to the file. He looked at the paper and sighed.
