Chapter 30. A Problem in Our Pack

Milan’s POV

Ava looked at me, her eyes filled with tears. “I don’t know what to think,” she said, her voice shaking. “I’m just so confused.”

I reached out and put my arm around her, pulling her close. “It’s okay to be confused,” I said softly. “This is a lot to take in. But please know that I love you and that Alpha Jake and I will do everything we can to make you feel comfortable here. We want you to be happy.”

Ava nodded, but she still looked uncertain. I felt a lump forming in my throat, and I was desperate to reassure her. “Ava,” I said, taking a deep breath. “I know this is difficult, but I promise you that we will get through this together. We will figure everything out, and you will be okay.”

I held her gaze, trying to convey my sincerity. “I’m not going to lie to you,” I continued. “It will take some time for you to adjust, but we will be here for you every step of the way. You’re not alone.”

Ava blinked and wiped her eyes with the back o
