Chapter 38. The Troublesome

Milan’s POV

A few minutes later, Alpha Jake came back into the car, his expression grim. “Everything okay?” I asked, trying to sound nonchalant.

“No,” he said, shaking his head. “Talia’s just informed me that there’s is an issue with some rogues lurking close to our pack’s territory so I need to come right away.”

“Oh my.” I said, my eyes wide with shock. “What are they doing there?”

“To cause trouble.” he said, as he ignited the car engine and then we zoomed off back to the pack.

I was quiet during the ride, trying to process the news. I was worried about the threat of rogues near our territory, and I was also worried about how this would affect Alpha Jake.

Finally, we pulled up to the pack house. As we stepped out of the car, I noticed that the place was buzzing with activity. The warriors were gathered in the yard, and Alpha Jake’s Beta was organizing them into groups.

“What’s going on?” Alpha Jake asked, approaching his Beta “We’re
