Chapter 39. Leave Me Alone

A middle-aged man in a white lab coat is panickingly running through the dark forest. He tries to run as fast as he can while keeping an eye on the path ahead of him. Someone appears to be pursuing him. As his breath became heavier, sweat began to drip from his temples. The man appears to have been running for quite some time.

"Please don't kill me," the man begs someone, but there is no one else around.

At some point, the man comes to a halt and observes his surroundings. The only thing he can hear is the sound of his own breath. The forest is dark and quiet. Suddenly, he notices a gust of wind approaching at high speed. He turned around to see another man standing in front of him.

The sclera and iris of the new man are completely black. He's smirking cruelly and howling like a wild animal. A visible fang emerges from his mouth, indicating that he is a vampire. He rushes up to the middle-aged man and plants his fang on his neck, causing him to scream in agony.
