"Why would you want to do that?" She asked, her voice now barely above a whisper.
"Because every time one thing is constant, Danica, she dies..., whether it's from running from me. Or whether she falls for me."
Demarion stood up abruptly and started pacing the length of the office. "And when she falls for me, she forgets about the war and ending those treacherous people and becomes consumed with finding a way to break the curse."
