Chapter 47. The Mediator
I didn't know if I had done something good in my life to still be lucky like this. I hadn't smiled for a while, but as soon as I saw her sitting on the bed—I don't know—my heart beat fast, and I felt so happy. This isn't the feeling that wolves always have. This is a human feeling that I've just begun to feel recently.
“Oh, fuck! You're actually here," I exclaimed as soon as I opened the door and caught sight of them sitting in the room, patiently waiting for me.
I wasted no time and swiftly approached her. Taking a seat beside Irish, I confirmed that she was indeed the person I had met at the bar. However, there was a noticeable change in her appearance. Before, her eyes spoke volumes and stories, but now they seemed focused on searching for answers. It was clear that this was a result of consuming the memory potion.
“Hello there, young lady. Have you been missing me?" I gently asked, reaching out to touch her face, ensuring she could see me clearly.
