Chapter 46. A Little Hope
The night has finally ended, and I am now getting out of bed to start my daily routine. Maxine is still sleeping, and I didn't bother waking her up. I lost count of how many rounds we went through, but what I am sure of is that we savored every moment of it. So I understand that feeling tired and exhausted is possible for her, and I won't ask why.
After washing my face, I put on a sleeveless shirt and stepped outside to bask in the sun's warmth while doing some stretching. Glancing at the wall clock, I noticed it was already eight in the morning. The sun's rays felt invigorating, causing me to break a sweat. Without hesitation, I decided to take a leisurely walk to the beach and continue my stretching routine.
“This is wonderful. Walking like this and living a tranquil life is what the wolf enjoys. What a fantastic way to start the day!" I exclaimed to myself as I settled down on the seashore.
