Chapter 14. Mother!

As I keep struggling to free myself from those holding me, the pain in my elbow cries out. I groan. But then I see a figure lounging at me fist-first, and the next thing I know, a sharp pain courses through my midsection. My guts attempt to explode from the agony, yet all I can do is moan helplessly. Waves of fatigue wash over me, weakening me to my bones, and I can’t help but begin to wonder why they are restraining me.
“What is the meaning of this? What did I do?” My questions fall on deaf ears as another punch lands on my waistline.
“Please, let me go!” I scream, hot tears gathering in my eyes. “Do you want to kill me?” Another ferocious blow descends on my jaw, shutting me up and sending a short lull into my consciousness. Honestly, at this point, I don’t want to know who is hitting me; I just want it to stop.
My teeth ache; it feels like they are about to fall off but are hanging onto a tiny thread of resilience. The familiar metallic taste of blood
