Night finally descends on the land, and the torches and lamps come on while I remain in hiding, still like a statue, waiting for the storm to pass. I thought vengeance would give me peace, but what I feel now is far worse than when the grievous event occurred. Rage, simmering like a hot furnace, char my insides.
