I stood at the balcony watching as the car roared to life. I couldn't help the way I felt about him leaving. I wished I could stop him now and let him know that I didn't quite trust him going back to the pack. 

They had clenched my heart again like a vice-grip and no matter how much he tried not to think about it, the thought always stuck like a leech. Something deep down told me that a very grave situation was about to happen within our Pack and him going back was only going to fuel it.

As I stood there, watching as the SUV started getting tiny in the distance ,the pang of angst continued to intensify and I wondered if it was all connected to the terrible thoughts and feelings that had plagued me lately. 

I wished he had listened to me at least, things might not have been going this way. But he was always the stubborn type who never listened to advice and went on to do whatever came to his mind. 

After a while of s
