For a week, Jimmy kept me locked in the room. Allowing me only to go out with him to try on the wedding dress and be seen by the journalists who were following the circus Jimmy Doorson was creating.

The bridal shop had long horizontal windows that allowed sunlight to enter, exposing the beautiful wedding dresses. My lupine sense of smell was enveloped by the scent of satin and lace around me. The place was elegant, the wedding dresses displayed on mannequins were part of the decoration which also featured a beautiful chandelier hanging, pictures of brides scattered on the walls, as well as conceptual photographs of dresses, veils, and bouquets. However, for me, all the magic of the place weighed on my shoulders in a way I didn't want, it awakened painful memories of my old life. I didn't think that the path of my revenge would lead me to revisit places that once held so many expectations and good feelings for me.
