Chapter 81. Reveal His True Face

Emily’s Pov

I make all the preparations I need so that everything goes smoothly for me and Benson. Jimmy appears an hour before I have to dress and go to the church. He was already wearing the dark blue suit for the wedding, his face had the expression of arrogance, of victory. My desire was to strip all of that from him with my magic, but I restrained myself with his arrival.

"I hope Benson shows up to congratulate us, Emily," Jimmy jokes with acidic humor. I stare at him coldly, saying nothing. "Don't be a sour bride, it won't go well with the dress or with your groom."

"I'll do my best..." I reply through clenched teeth and Jimmy opens a triumphant smile, "to continue not matching."

Jimmy's smile disappears and is replaced by the irritation I caused him. He threatens to hit me, but we're on our wedding day, I can't have marks on my face.
