Xerina’s POV
I watched Luca talking with several Alphas, I couldn’t help a scoff. Fucking prude. His stern face and rigid posture screamed self-righteousness, and it made my blood boil. Mama was no longer with Aurora, and I couldn’t find her. Panic started to creep in, twisting my gut. Chrissy was also nowhere in sight, which was wrecking my nerves.
I started weaving through the crowded room, eyes scanning the sea of faces.
The noise of chatter and laughter buzzed around me, making it hard to focus.
I muttered apologies to those I bumped into, barely acknowledging their annoyed glances. My heart pounded in my chest, a steady drumbeat of anxiety.
