Chapter 57. Separated Again

Delilah’s POV

Oh no, what are they doing to Daisy? Why is she taking so long? Have they hurt her? What should I do?

My mind was racing with these thoughts when I saw them throw Daisy back into her cage. I felt a surge of fear and worry.

My heart was racing. I wanted to help her, but I didn’t know how. I felt helpless. I just stood there, frozen, watching as they locked her back up. I hoped she was okay, but I had a bad feeling.

Then I finally snapped back to my senses “What happened? What did they do to you,” I asked, My voice was shaking with worry.

But she didn’t answer at first, “Daisy, say something,” I continued and reached out and touched her arm.

Daisy looked up at me with a mix of fear and sadness in her eyes. She took a deep breath before speaking.

“I don’t know,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper, but firm and determined.
