I looked at Nika, waiting for an explanation. She was knowledgeable about many things, so if anyone knew about him, it would be her.

Whoever this Shadow Alpha was, he didn’t sound like an easy opponent. Her widened eyes confirmed it.

“Who is he?” I asked, walking back toward them. I was still covered in the rogues’ blood.

He had dared to lay his hand on Daphne. I should have made his death slow and painful, but I hadn’t been able to hold back my wolf.

Nika let out a deep breath before speaking. “It’s obvious we are in rogue territory,” she said, glancing around. “There are many alphas ruling over rogue groups, and the Shadow Alpha is one of them.”

“The Shadow Alpha, just as his name suggests, is not someone you want to mess with. He is the most brutal among the rogues. He doesn’t just kill for fun, he wipes out entire families for the smallest crime committed by one person.”
