Chapter 19. The Mating Ceremony

Emma’s POV

My hands are clammy and I feel like I am going to throw up. Standing behind the double doors that lead to the backyard of the pack house. Any moment they are going to open these doors and reveal me to the entire Crescent Pack as their new Luna. Holding my hand on my stomach I breathe in deeply in and out as I try to calm my nerves.

“Are you ready,” A deep gruff voice from behind me makes me jump and I turn to see Alpha Frank standing behind me.

Taking a large gulp, I swallow the knot that has formed in the back of my throat. “I think so,” I try to sound confident but my voice comes out as nothing more than a whisper.

“Traditionally,” Alpha Frank tells me. “Your father would walk you down the aisle to your mate. But considering the circumstances, I was hoping you wouldn’t mind if I walked you down.”
