Chapter 21. Share a Room

Emma’s POV

After a very stern talk with Doctor Rosen, she agreed to let me leave the hospital. She shooed Ethan from the room so I could have my privacy getting out of my hospital gown and into the clothes that Ethan brought me from the pack house. As I pick up a pair of lacy black panties as a matching bra I cringe over the fact that Ethan went through my underwear drawer.

As I am pulling my shirt over my head I can hear raised voices coming from the hallway. Quickly I put on my sweatpants and hurry to the door pressing my ear against the wood.

“She is my mate and it will be expected that we complete the bond,” Ethan’s voice carries through the thick wooden door.

“And I am telling you that she might not be ready,” Doctor Rosen tries to say in a hushed voice. “We don’t know the extent of the abuse that she suffered at the hands of her father.”
