Chapter 62. It Has Been Postponed

Emma’s POV

Ethan tried to insist on driving to the local mall but I refused. I was afraid that if I got in a car with him he would drive us straight back to the Crescent Pack. After a little argument, Ethan reluctantly agreed to let me drive. He watches me carefully as I strap Ezra into his car seat, like he is trying to memorize everything that I am doing.

Instead of sitting in the front with me, Ethan decides to sit in the back with Ezra. As we drive out of the Paxton Pack territory and into the closest town I cannot help but glance in the rear view mirror and watch the two interact with one another. They act like they have known each other all along. I try not to think about what it will be like when Ethan leaves in a few days. I know that Ezra will be heart broken.

I pull into a parking space at the local mall and I quickly rush around the car to unbuckle Ezra from his seat, but Ethan has beaten me to it. Ethan climbs out of the car with Ezra in his arms
