Chapter 64. Can We Start Over?

Emma’s POV

I wake up the morning after the shopping trip with a smile on my face. I know I shouldn’t be happy that Ethan is postponing his mating ceremony with Emily but Emily deserves the karma that is coming her way.

As I am getting undressed to get in the shower there is a soft knock on my door. Quickly I wrap my naked body in my robe and tie it around my waist. I open the door and my mouth drops open. I see Ethan standing on the other side with a frown on his face.

“Is everything okay?” I ask quickly, forgetting that I am standing there in nothing more than a robe.

“Can I come in?” Ethan says quietly as he looks around him like he is making sure that no one else is around.

I suddenly remember that I am in my robe. I pull it tighter around my body, trying to conceal myself. “I was getting ready to get in the shower,” I say and then I mentally kick myself for saying that.

Ethan’s eyes roam over my body when I mention the shower and his ey
